This is my first personal app, a pet project I've been working on and off in my "spare time" for the last year or so. Decided to finally go live with it. I hope people use it and enjoy it!
Sometimes I feel like an imposter "tricking" people into thinking I know what I'm doing, but then I see something like this and realize just how far down this crazy rabbit hole I've dug myself. I've gone through a ton of learning curves over the years...
This actually saved me today.
The BFG treats you like a reformed alcoholic: you've made some mistakes in the past, but now you've cleaned up your act. Thus the BFG assumes that your latest commit is a good one, with none of the dirty files you want removing from your history still in it. This assumption by the BFG protects your work, and gives you peace of mind knowing that the BFG is only changing your repo history, not meddling with the current files of your project.
Went diving with the sea lions at Hornby Island yesterday. It was good until one of them stole my light and swam off with it never to be seen again, forcing me to become an enemy of sea lions as a species.
After starting to work with Meteor, learning the ins and outs of node.js, mongoDB, and the blaze templating system, I was just starting to get somewhere with it and they changed everything in favor of moving to ReactJS. No logical migration, just a "rewrite it all in React" statement. I gave up, screw that, I had sunk a ton of time into learning that platform just to have the rug pulled out.
Now I'm getting into Ionic/Angular, also node based with a build step that used to use gulp but now uses rollupjs. This stuff is pretty insane and changes way too fast. Ionic 2 is completely different from Ionic 1, I like it, so I'm sticking with it, but damn if it isn't a ton of work to keep up with all this.
